Who even invented the idea of an exam week -.-" End up like cramming for a subject the night before because the night before that you're cramming for the subject that you had that day and so on and you end up failing all of them lol

Though I have an uncanny ability to invent answers in exam and get them right =)

And FREAKING HELL PE what kind of a-holes are they to purposely place an assignment to be due ON the day of the maths exam. So typical of them . . . jeez. It's like revenge cause no one studies as hard for PE so they're like "Oh, we'll stuff up the rest of your exams as well then." McKenzie always "thinks everyone's out to get PE" pssssh

Luckily we finished it on the Sunday beforehand ;) smaaaaaaaart rofl

Maths was alright . . . everyone (like Andrew Li saying he got lost 23 marks even though he scored 30 places higher than I did in the half yearly =.=) keeps exaggerating how many marks they lost (except poor Fifi lol she actually missed out entire questions). Apparently half of 10E owned 10J. That's not right =O

Lololol yesterday was the biggest bludge ever. Studied commerce unemployment topic like 5 minutes before the exam cos I didn't even know it was gonna be in the test :( Though it's probably right if you make it up anyway, just like in ag lol

Had English afterwards. Realised Mayers' fishtank water was turning yellow. Very dark brownish-yellow - literally the colour of pee.
Probably due to build up of ammonium nitrate with insufficient numbers of nitrobacter and nitrosomonas to convert the ammonium =O
Except I was too scared to change the water in case I like accidentally poured the fish down the toilet or something. And I remember reading somewhere that if you put them in different temperature water (like from room temp water to cold tap water) they'll like spasm and die lmao

After 30 min recess was awesummm =DDD Had double ag and went straight down to the plots cause more than half the class was away at Japanese and Music exams. Was like freaking steaming hot so we decided to water the potato plots. Then Pronger like digs up one of the plants to show us the growing potatoes, and we all just grab the potatoes and play baseball with them with hoes as the bats =)
But THen jero like smashes the potato so hard that it completely blows up in his face and he's like spitting out potato lolololol

By this time it's like steaming hot with the sun burning us up (especially with all our heat absorbing hair) so like all the girls just lie down on the grass (or in some cases on each other................................................)
And then we all go and water the grass uphill so that it like flows down and then Aditia's suddenly like "OH MY GAWD ITS WET" after a minute (girls=slow reaction times).
THen Pronger's like "I KNOW! LETS SPRAY LOL" and starts playing with the sprinkler and showing us how to aim jets at people and control the arc of the spray hehee

And then Tim's suddenly like "OMG ITS MRS ROBERTS" and prongers like HOLY CRAP and turns off the sprinkler and turns around. Turns out timmy was shitting us -.-"
lol in our notes: "due to mr pronger being a RETARD, our trial was affected by variance"

So then Dennis and Raymond or someone had their back turned, so we like aim at them and shot the whole stream of water through the air until it like all drenched them in the back =D THen we ran away lol

And then the whole class turned into like a fully fledged waterfight with like everyone whirling around with the watering cans and splashing other people. I was so excited and was gonna go wet Jero or someone back except I swung it too hard and it all went out the back onto myself =____=
Then after an hour Pronger's like "oh lets go up and do some theory" so we hafta pack everything thing up. But then we had some water left in the cans so we're like EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO GET SPRAYED STAND IN A LINE. THen while Jero's spraying them I take the cap off the end of the watering can (so instead of liek a light drizzle you get like a full on jet) and full drench Aditia again lmao

Like literally this whole WALL of water slammed into her face and she was like "OH SHIIII----" before she got completely drenched lmao
And then Pronger's like "OKAY NO MORE FIGHTING WITH WATER"

except when we go back up to the watering classroom and aditia like pours her water bottle down my back hes like rofling going "okay no mor - actually u totally deserved that lololol" xDD
then after like 20min of like screwing around with little swordfights and raymond playing tower defence on his iphone and jero stealing my shoe and running away with it and putting it on top of this tall pole and me running after him on one foot and fat timmy firing little stones at us we went back up ^___^

so lame how we dont get to go down to the plots anymore next yr though =(

had lunch then maths where howlett like full "flamed" (howlett flamed which is still pretty nice and pales in comparison to alder's wrath unleashed upon 10R) us on how only 5 ppl in our class got that PAB tangent question and stuff. Alvin says our grade is apparently the worst yr theyve had for ages now lol
hope i did ok :)

Let's Make a Deal

Haha I just read this and just had to post it here =) It's a pretty cool problem . . . here goes:

The Monty Hall problem is a puzzle in probability that is loosely based on the American game show Let's Make a Deal; the name comes from the show's host Monty Hall. In this puzzle a contestant is shown three closed doors; behind one is a car, and behind each of the other two is a goat. The contestant is allowed to open one door, and will win whatever is behind the door he opens; however, after the contestant has selected a door but before he actually opens it, the host (who knows what is behind each door) opens one of the other doors to show that there is a goat behind it, and asks the contestant whether they want to change their mind and switch to the other closed door. Does the contestant improve their chance of winning the car by switching or does it make no difference?

Think.

Think hard.

Harder.

Anyway, the answer is yes, as surprising as it may seem.

I read it and at first I just thought that since you already know that host's door has a goat, then yours has either a goat or a car. Regardless of which one you choose, you'll have a 50/50 chance of winning . . . DUHHHH

Apparently not.

The solution to the problem is yes: the chance of winning the car is doubled when the contestant switches to another door rather than sticking with the original choice. When the contestant chooses a door, there is a probability of 1/3 that they choose the door with the car: there is a probability of 2/3 that they do not choose the door with the car. When the host opens a door to reveal a goat, there is still a probability of 2/3 that the contestant has not chosen the door with the car (because when the host reveals a goat it does not affect this probability). Therefore if the contestant switches their choice, there is now a probability of 2/3 that they have chosen the door with the car.

If it still seems illogical, try thinking of it like this:

It may be easier for the reader to appreciate the result by considering a hundred doors instead of just three. In this case there are 99 doors with goats behind them and 1 door with a prize. The contestant picks a door; 99 out of 100 times the contestant will pick a door with a goat. Monty then opens 98 of the other doors revealing 98 goats and offers the contestant the chance to switch to the other unopened door. On 99 out of 100 occasions the door the contestant can switch to will contain the prize as 99 out of 100 times the contestant first picked a door with a goat. At this point a rational contestant should always switch.

like you HAVE to subtract the same equation from the other two or else it gets pissed and discharges a shit answer that's wrong.

e.g. Find the circle that passes through (1,2) (3,-4) and (5,-6)

That freaking took me 1 hour to solve even with the help of Microsoft Math and Geometer's Sketchpad (both of which aren't really that helpful anyway).

and I've ALREADY WASTED 2 HRS ON THIS QUESTION LAST TERM BEFORE THE BOOKMARK AND STILL COULDNT GET THE ANSWER THEN

The Starfish Story

1907 - 1977

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young girl, and that what she was doing was not dancing at all. The young girl was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"

The young girl paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young girl replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young girl, do you not realise that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

At this, the young girl bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, she said, "I made a difference to that one."

Poor Andy's sister. Turns out some retard in her grade printed out her blog and showed it to Pooviah (who was like deputy back then) a while ago and dobbed her in for writing about people and she got like full busted - O__O well DUH you're gonna write about people in a blog. I can so totally imagine lame retards in our grade doing that. 

Anyway, last day of school for Term 3 yesterday =) How awesome hehe

Double history to kick it off. As usual we learnt about the remarkably extensive history of Australia . . . when you compare it to some country like Kosovo . . . since its independence.

Then to English, where I forgot to feed Mrs Mayers' fish. There was this holiday feeding block that we put in during the Term 2 holidays, except I don't this we had it this time cause last time the cleaner was really nice and came in every 2 days to feed them so we figured we wouldn't need it anyway.

Except upon writing this I realised one of the cleaners died last month. And that might have been the same cleaner who used to come feed the fish. Uh oh =O

Double ag next where our barbeque got cancelled :( 

So we all spent the period raping Jimmy's awesome abs lmao - Sanji like holds his left arm, Jess holds his right arm, I hold his head, and everyone's like WOOHOO LETS FEEL THEM ABS and swarms

I love 10T xDD

Careers for last period was so dumb . . . we just go to T1.5 and watch this video on "Work Attitude". Ironically during this video everyone is either sleeping and dribbling over a keyboard (Tim), playing Minesweeper (Andrew Li), or playing swivel chair soccer with a basketball. Then whenever Deigan like stares at us we all like suddenly turn back to the TV and just nod at whatever he's saying (none of us could hear him over the video and fans). But he's a really nice guy =)

Woohoo then after school we go to Parra to watch Up. We missed the 751 cause Paul was like dragging onto my bag go ARAWRAWRAWRAWR 

Gotta love Paul teehehehehee xDD He's so nice.

Anyway, end up catching 779 during which everyone's like playing bus surfing and Allan pushes someone, who pushes onto someone else, who pushes onto Bahaven, who pushes onto Neil's basketball which happens to be sitting in my lap. Ouch -.-" 

btw Up is the BEST ANIMATED MOVIE EVER (except I still think WALL-E was slightly better, cos I really loved WALL-E). It's so cute and happy and sad and funny and 3D!!! Omg the 3D and sound was so pro cause we went to the VMAX theatre - which I think is like SilverScreen [it was still only $14 including the $5 extra for watching 3D movies cause we bought 10 tickets at once].

I won't spoil Up for you =] But just go watch it in 3D. You have to =D

It looks SO PRO when they're like fighting in the air and you see these planes and propellers rush past the screen hehe

Even the 3D glasses are cooler than the normal paper blue and red lens ones - these ones are like actually plastic with polarising lenses - when you wear them while staring at a computer screen and rotate your head the screen goes from blue to orange! Then you turn it around and when you rotate it goes from completely clear to completely black!!! (have I already mentioned this in another post? cos Gusta gave me the lens out of her 3D glasses on crazy hair day and I was like OMGOMGOMGing about it all week).

Woooot Firefox has a new Glasser theme so now even the tabs are transparent! Click on the screenshot - it's so pretty!!! =D

Had Buljevic for PE afterwards - she's so nice!! Lol everytime I see her I think back to Yr 7 scienceee
She was like talking bout teaching Glenwood or something as a casual and subbing for this maths class
then she like writes:

Ms Chen came to visit us yesterday!!! Except they changed the bell times, and I told her on Facebook lunch changed to start at 1. I SWEAR the daysheet on the noticeboard on Monday afternoon said lunch was from 1 to 2. Apparently lunch started at 12:30 instead. Oops xDD
So instead of coming to our class, she ended up coming during lunch - Gerald phoned her and she's like "SOMEONE gave me wrong bell times >=\" roflll

OMGOMG her baby is so cute! Except Jinghang and I walked over and as soon as she saw us she like burst into tears. ALL HIS FAULT I BET hehe
It's got like grey/blue eyes - I tried to lean in closer to have a look but then she like immediately scrunched up her face ready to cry again so I'm like oh crap =O

Had SDD exam today in the loft!!! It's such a cosy little spot hehe - they like renovated it so now there's those pro spotlights (like the really small bright ones) on the ceiling and all these new desks and chairs. Except we didn't even notice all the dust from last Wednesday's dust storm all over the desks until Ceyon or someone randomly blew the desk and POOOF this huge red cloud fluffed up =D

Like an hour into the test this dumb bee flies in and goes around BUZZ BUZZ BUZZING everywhere - and being the easily entertained kids we are, we're all just like sitting there unable to concentrate. It just kept on circling Vincent Tran and everyone kept on giggling - bet it was caught in orbit around his gravitational field =)
(Acutally nvm I just actually did the maths and assuming Vincent Tran's mass is evenly distributed and 90.0 kg and the fly circled him 1.00 times per second it would have to be a distance of 5.34 x 10^-4 metres from the centre of his body) <--an interesting fact
btw the radius of orbit does not depend on the fly's mass at all

Then a while later suddenly Mr Wilson's laptop (he like supervised our exam) started playing some stereotypical oriental ding dong dingy music really loudly and there's like this suddenly awkward silence. Then Jinghang's like "oooooooohhh" in this really idiotic tone and the whole class like full cracked up for like 2 minutes xDD

We popped into science afterwards to see what the class was doing - turns out they just got the common test back . . . I look at my test paper and it turns out Maitra (probably her) put this huge cross over my "Mrs Khouri" lol

Went to tennis and like vs-ed Ayus in tennis. Holy crap he's good =) Lol then ceyon, roy and i went around the corner to play on the swings and slide and played like king of the hill or wahtever with the thing where u climb up to get to the slide and those huge noughts and crosses as the fort xD we managed to push ceyon from the tower down into the slide facefirst rofl =D
