Woohoo!!!

YES!!! Science test is finally over and now I can take all the time in this world to blog.
Actually no - it just took me literally 4 hours to write that sentence cause my dad is like right behind me pretending to be busying himself with ironing the clothes; he can't help going through our computers everytime we go to the toilet or whatever. And I don't take my laptop into the toilet . . . cause that would be WEIRD =)

Ah well, now I can finally write about the ag excursion, which would have actually been okay apart from the 10% exam at the end ><" But I guess it was otherwise okay - man this year is so awesome . . . so many camps! Wooot. Next one in under a month =) Anyway, left school on the Wednesday, except the bus only came at 5 so we had 2 hours to bum around and do nothing. Originally everyone was gonna stay at school, but then turns out everyone left to go to Parra or whatever. Jeffery and I just ended up filling up water balloons and throwing them at each other xD

Then people started arriving and then we just got on the bus . . . turned out to be like a super boring 4 hour bus ride cause everyone in our part of the bus was just stoned and sleeping haha
Stopped at this service station for dinner - there was Hungry Jacks, KFC and "Heatherbrae's Pies" there. Some people actually ran to Heatherbrae's Pies lolololol

And then there were 2 more hours of driving through beautiful scenery:

Until finally we reached the hole known as Riverwood Downs Platypus Lodge. A wonderful euphemism for milking-shed-with-the-sides-split-into-cubicles-to-make-cabins. My toilet was 2x larger than the cabin -.-'

That's right. It's those tiny little doors in the background. Luxurious.

Anyway, it was already like 10 by that time anyway, so we got forced to sleep T____T And Jeffery decided to wake up at freaking 5:30 (and wake us all up) because apparently platypuses come out at sunrise. They don't.

But the morning was kinda pretty though =)

Then off we went to breakfast with the trademark toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage and spaghetti that you always get at camp. And extremely diluted cordial - like at least 15 parts to 1 I swear.

Then to the one and only GLOUCESTER SALEYARDS. YAYYY =O

This is a cow.

It was so awesome cause one Angus literally jumped RIGHT over the pen into the enclosure on the other side. So pro man! All of us were like HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP OMGOMG but all the people there were like "oh, it got over again" lol

There was this hilarious spotter guy who has to like spot the bids for the auction, and he like has to scream out YES when he sees one xDD So funny hehe




And how cute are these?! I want one :)

After an extremely boring 3 hour talk on the "role of a stock and station agent" and "what happens from the saleyard to the abattoir" (we all accidentally spelt it as abbatoir before xD), we went off to some park to have lunch. They had one of those uber cool bicycle tracks there:

The agriculture department is obviously much more skilled than the HSIE department at packing lunches. I was over the moon when I realised we wouldn't be eating buns with Vegemite and a slice of cheese squashed in between ^^

Next we went to Craig Young's farm which was pretty cool. He had horses there heh

After looking at the pasture and stuff we went off to look at the cattle which were going onto the international market the next week or something. The guy decided to put them into the cattle crush to show us, but all the cows went like fully aggro - like SERIOUSLY aggro. They were like ramming the door to the crush and kept on hitting each other, slamming against the metal and kicking the metal gates. But the funniest part was where the cows shat on each other. It was pretty funny but we all felt sorry for the other cow.

Lucky I have it on video =D Had a psychic feeling something was gonna happen and whipped out my camera =)

Haha poor farmer dude - all the meat's like getting bruised and losing heaps of value and he's like "It's going onto the market next week!"

The fresh poop is so gross!!! lmao at how the bull stops crapping, walks away, then runs back for one last shove in the other cow's face.

Then after Craig Young's farm, we went off to Noel Griffin's farm. The poor old guy has prostate cancer and still has to run the farm at 71 =( And his son had leptospirosis cause one cow peed on him or something. Here he is:

OMG This guy's farm is so awesome. He has like a billion 4 leaf clovers (except I lost mine >.<") and they're HUGE! You know how your normal clover is like 1-2cm long and as thing as a thread? His ones are like 10cm long and as thick as an electric cord! xDD

Then we went back to the milking shed to nerd for the exam the next day =O

Went back and everyone exchanged notes =) And then read them under glowstick at night because the teachers like said lights out at 11 - Grant let me go out scab one last sandwich before sleeping tehehehhehe

Woke up uber early the next day and had to pack everything - had breakfast and had to walk like freaking a gazillion miles to some random farm on the property . . . everything for miles looked like this lol:

Man this was so boring but we still had to pay like 100% attention cos the test would be right after this and they were gonna test this as well T_____T

Wheeeeee its lexxx =D He had like extreme hayfever and ended up shoving two rolled up pieces of tissue up his nostril lmao

Then it was the test after that =.= And I screwed it up . . .
Ah well

Then we had to leave for school =O Non stop bus trip back O___O


And then got back to schooool =]
Must go sleep now . . . this took like ages to type up lol
