It's so cool how they have like freaking portable sinks and drinking taps at the NYE venues!!! (Which are disconcertingly close to the portaloos. Wonder where the water comes from =O)

I want one of those houses by the harbour. 

It would be so pro

That rickroll is so insanely annoying!!! It like loads yeh? Then the video of Rick Astley comes up. And then obviously, the first thing you try to do is naturally to close the window! Big mistake =P A prompt then comes up with the 1st line of his song. You click the close button on that prompt, and the 2nd line of his song comes up in another prompt, and so on. Until you've cycled through every SINGLE line in the song. Then it repeats all the lyrics again . . . twice before the window closes. LOL!!! 

Unless you're reading this in Google Chrome (or SRWare Iron which I'm using right now). Cause that makes the site epic fail. It brings up a tick box asking if you want to terminate all future prompts. T____T

28th December

Oops lol. Missed posting on my blog's birthday yesterday =P Spent the day bumming around Burwood Westfield and everywhere around it with rentz and sister. Free parking changed to the first 2 hours only ==; It used to be completely free without those annoying tollgate thingys.

Went to Kmart to shop for FISHING RODS to take on our holiday!!! 30% off or something . . . except they were all expensive as crap (well not literally) or there were these cheap ones that didnt have any spools on them .__. So it's back to the 10 year old crappy fish rod we have lol

Being asian we went out to this random street once our 2 hrs was up and parked there instead. Went off walking for a random place to eat and found this awesome Viet restaurant after like 30 min of walking =D 

Went past Burwood Plaza except it was kinda saddening to see everything changed. They used to have these big button pads on the ground that kids could like press so that these HUGE animals (like monkeys and stuff) on the roof up above would move around and do stuff. It was so cool!!! Then they removed it. =[ Killed the monkey. But this was a long time ago I guess. Around 10 years ago or so.

It's probably just me that cares though lol. I just weird. Don't like change or growing up. Can't believe it's like Year 11 already O_O Which is why I'm kinda like hanging onto my childhood. YES I STILL DO WATCH POKEMON >=DD 

It is awesome (Y)(Y) Haha Richy is actually a guy from Pokemon =] Ash's best friend who has a Pikachu as well!!!

Speaking of Pokemon movies, just finished watching Pokemon Heroes (the 5th movie) last week or something. It's so sad but still really good (Y) You guys should go watch it. I'll try not to kill the plot but it's still kinda dumb how weak Latios and Latias are considering they're LEGENDARIES (albeit one of many). And even when Latios is hurt, he could have just used Recover. Though he wouldn't really need to. Cause he could have just Lustre Purged Team Rocket into oblivion. But he didn't. ==;

Which made it so sad cause he then _ _ _ _ (CLUE: rhymes with cried) =[

Also watched Apollo 13 on Ten or something. It's so awesome cause I thought that Apollo 13 was the one that completely failed and everyone died on (hence 13 being unlucky). But it wasn't =D They were coming back to Earth and then I was like "Oh crap they're gonna die" cause I was like sure Apollo 13 was the one that vaporised in the atmosphere. And then I was like about to cry (not really but was kinda sad) when it was dead silent for 4 minutes cause the whole control centre was waiting for a response to their radio call. 

And then suddenly Tom Hanks comes through the radio with like "Houston, we are here" or something. AND THEN I WENT SO HAPPY YAY!!! and everyone in the control centre was like CHYEAHHH and hugging each other and crying =]

Which made me want to be an astrophysicist or whatever they're called even more hehe

So I'm gonna focus on physics in NQE this year! I MUST BEAT JOEY!!! =D She's so pro though lol

Anyway back to Pokemon: here's what Allan and I accomplished in the productive 4 hours of the Faraway Films workshop . . .

Nice SES woman called today when I answered the phone. Was asking for donations or volunteering for SES services. Except I knew my parents, being azn, wouldn't donate anyway, so I just said "Sorry Ms, my parents aren't home." I felt so bad lying to her, especially since there's like so many other people with like no homes or presents on Christmas =[ And cause she has to like give up her time volunteering to help out others.

When I grow up, I'm gonna get rich and donate to the SES =) Or volunteer as one of their firefighters or food supply people or those boat rescue people. yayyy

Except he read it before :( So here's another nice (but a little sad) story for you =]

The Man By The Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods when his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band, he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Then, unexpectedly, a sinister thought entered his mind. Why should the other man alone experience all the pleasures of seeing everything while he himself never got to see anything?

It didn't seem fair.

At first thought the man felt ashamed. But as the days passed and he missed seeing more sights, his envy eroded into resentment and soon turned him sour. He began to brood and he found himself unable to sleep. He should be by that window--that thought, and only that thought, now controlled his life.

Late one night as he lay staring at the ceiling, the man by the window began to cough. He was choking on the fluid in his lungs. The other man watched in the dimly lit room as the struggling man by the window groped for the button to call for help. Listening from across the room he never moved; never pushed his own button which would have brought the nurse running in.

In less than five minutes, the coughing and choking stopped, and along with that, the sound of breathing. Now there was only silence--deathly silence.

The following morning the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths.

When she found the lifeless body of the man by the window, she was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take it away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window.

The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it all himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. 

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate to have described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. 

“Perhaps,” she said, “he just wanted you to be happy.”

if u have plenty of quota to spare (unlike me who has to do this at 3 during offpeak <--EDIT 5:33PM 26/12/2009 I just got capped cause the 10mb left of my onpeak quota suddenly disappeared T_T) and have lots of time to spare watch it =) its a message from santa clause!

I normally fall asleep within like 10 minutes of lying in bed, even if it's like stifling hot. Except last night I couldn't even fall asleep at all for over like 3 hours even though I was tired as hell o__O

It's not like I was even excited about Santa Clause coming. I just wanted to sleep before my parents put my stuff in the stocking so that I would not know for certain that Santa Claus wasn't real =(

Except even though I like closed my eyes for hours I didn't sleep at all ==; And I actually tried clearing my throat and pretending to cough as like "warning signs" for them to BACK OFF and come back at unother ungodly hour (that's just an expression - it was actually as Godly as ever last night because it was when God gave Jesus to die for our sins but yeah) except the fan was on and they probably didn't hear T____T

Finally heard them creep in at around 5:30 AM or something ><" The part of me that wanted to believe in Santa just died then. Crushed and shattered. Forever. (sobs)

Spent the day playing board games and stuff with my grandma who just came from Hong Kong =D and my aunt and sister. Some asian game with 4 aeroplanes which u have to get home before anyone else. If you've played it before you'll know what I'm talking about. It's got 4 colours of blue, green, yellow and red and the whole board is coloured that way. Translates to like "FAYY HUN KAY" in canto lol

Then we played Monopoly hehe

With Optus, if your offpeak quota is used up, then whatever internet you use then counts onto your onpeak meter. HOWEVER if your onpeak quota is used up, all unused offpeak quote dies with it ==; Which is what happened somehow today even though I was extremely conservation with the 10mb I had left.

Ah well - found this song I'd first heard in Yr 4 and have been searching for for 6 years since =O So happy!!! xDD THough it doesn't sound as pro as I remembered it. But still awesome. But you guys probably won't like it lol . . . it's Dirty Girl by Rob Mills.

YES I GOT MIXPOD WORKING AGAIN!!!

Basically Youtube banned Mixpod from having their players play the Youtube music without the video (I see no practical explanation for this banning o_O)

But so now in order to have a song from a video on Youtube put into Mixpod, your player must be a video player (unlike my player, which is like just an MP3 player). And I didn't want to put in the video player cause it wastes bandwidth for us =(

ANYWAY so I instead found a direct download link for a song I wanted and pasted it in. It's called This Time by Mest and it's SOO awesome!!! Well I like it anyway =)

By this time, we all know it's CHRISTMAS!!! See what I did there? I put that in green and red =) And it also kinda helps to highlight the "Christ" in Christmas, which lots of people forget because most people get carried away with getting presents and Christmas trees and tinsel and other stuff =O

Not that we did anything much

apart from casting shame upon the school for getting like totally thrashed =O

OKAY SO WE WOKE UP at an ungodly time of day, to get to school by 7AM . . . I think I woke up at like 6:40 and rushed to school =)

Armed for the 12 hour bus trip with my SDD Excel and Heinemann textbooks, notes and newly acquired $2 MP3!!!, I ended up sitting in the 2nd last row because all the other friggen seats were taken. Bad idea - the further back you sit the more crap curdles in your stomach and the more likely you are to dispense your morning breakfast upon the head of the in front of you (Peggy) =O But the bus ride was actually surprisingly smooth and I didn't even feel sick while reading.

My mum had advised me on sitting in the middle on the side of the driver, as all typical asian mothers do. And there is infallible logic behind this. You see, if a crash occurs from the rear, you are safe, unlike me (or the person who happens to be in the bus toilet discharging bodily fluids or solids at that time). You are also safe from the blue effluent and crap that will eject/project itself from the toilet.

If you sit in the front however, you will get crushed by a semi-trailer or a full trailer or double trailer whose driver is taking microsleeps after driving for 21 hours from Brisbane to Melbourne or something. This is not good =O Head on collisions will cause a great change of momentum on the bus as the time of impact will be very short and hence the force which will act upon you will be greatly increased, as delta P = Ft

Who doesn't love physics :) Well we love it right now cause we have Khoury for science. Next yr when we get Ballantyne . . .

And of course you sit on the driver's side because he will OBVIOUSLY save himself first if he's about to crash into the Great Banana or Great Pineapple or Great Circular Saw, and will swerve so that he will not get hit but the other side of the bus will get cut right through.

Wow lol I've totally forgotten everything about Bendigo after my mind's been filled with so much SDD and stuff o__O Maybe I shuda blogged this before cramming my mind with so much other stuff.

But I think we just all slept for like 3 hours before waking up to like fat squishy cows mooing in the countryside with full swishing udders swinging and methane rocket boosters munching on grass =) With the ever ugly Silawraps dotting the background of the picture =____= Look like freaking midget Port-A-Loos from afar.

Turned on my MP3 and found I couldn't receive 2DayFM anymore >sob<>

Despite this the reception on my MP3 was so crappy I heard like just static and the occasional wail of some screeching singer. So I changed to SD card mode and realised the songs inside the folders didn't show up =____= I'm like ARGH THIS IS SO RETARDED KILL ME

IF ONLY SOMEONE HAD LIKE A LAPTOP AND AN SD CARD READER TO COPY THE FILES OUT.

So I went over and was like YAYY except looked at his laptop and I'm like "but there's no SD card slot in it" =O

Then he takes out another laptop from under his seat!

Anyway ended up going to the middle of the bus afterwards where everyone was playing Mafia =) Awesome game (Y)(Y)

I was doctor for one game and saved 3 people 3 times in a row xDD And there were like 10 ppl playing at that time. That's how pro I am at reading minds =P

The probability of my choosing the correct person 3 times would be like (1/9)^3 =OOO

ANYWAY BACK TO THE THINGY

Got off the bus armed with the pages of free Cayan Grill with any purchase vouchers which I had printed the day earlier and gave them out to people. Turns out half the ppl already had one lmao xDD

And so the Army of Asians, the YELLOW PERIL (the locals had probably never seen that many asians in their life lmao) marched into the KFC proudly brandishing their vouchers, whilst the onlookers stared on in fear at the RED MENACE about to engulf the little country town. Well not really - only the KFC people stared because we were all waving our vouchers for the Free Cayan Grill and they were like despairing that they were gonna like totally lose profit. Which I think they did.

So after everyone gets their meal, Andrew Li goes back over to the counter to get a straw or something, and overhears this guy who actually wants to buy a Cayan Grill burger, and the KFC guy's like "Sorry, we're all out." lmao poor dude xD

So then I went to the toilet, came back, and everyone and gone back onto the bus already -.-" So eager for another 8 hours of delightful driving!

Spent the next 4 hours playing Mafia, listening to music with Peggy (who hates ALL my songs >=[) <--no that is not a smiley face lol, reading SDD and surprisingly didn't feel bus-sick at all even though I was sitting at the back, and stoning and staring out the window at more passing silawrap bundles and Angus, Brangus, Mangus, Pangus and whatever cattle there were =O

Though while we were playing Mafia Ballantyne's like "LOOK KIDS!" and everyone stares out the window in awe at the wind farm on our right, which being busy city kids we had never seen before =P

And then we drove past all these weeds that actually looked pretty =) Like these purple ones which grew everywhereeee:

SO after another 4 hours, at like 3 or 4, we end up going to a MacDonalds, where no one even orders anything cause we're not hungry. So all the girls sit down and talk and all the guys just sat down on a bench playing cards and staring enthralled at Huey's Cooking Adventures or something playing on the widescreen TV there =O

Meanwhile Fang shows me that straw trick where you get the straw then like roll it up from both ends until there's like a tiny bit in between. Which you then flick and it goes POP! xD Then everyone saw and all the guys ended up like grabbing a gazillion straws

Okay i typed that all like 2 months ago =___= now to continue my eternally long post (21/12/09)

THEN we finally got to benigo lol
and u know how uve all heard of bendigo bank and think its like all crappy and tiny
its not.........

its FREAKING HUGE O_O

anyway so along came dinner timeeeee :) where everyone hunted for the cheapest food
first we walked like to the town centre as a blob. then me and jinghang and abs and stuff decide to hunt for the cheapest place to eat so we walk like 300m up the road to another chinese restaurant, then like another 200 up the road to some other chinese restaurant that kowaslki recommended, decided the first chinese restaurant was cheaper (still like $10 for a box of rice though =.=) and so walked waaay back down. then decided against it and walked back to the tandoori place. then ms treskin tells us theres a maccas down the road a few hundred metres so we decided to find it...after 500m theres still no sight of it so we decide to go into this posh chinese restaurant which is just across the road...after running across like a 4 lane road we finally make it there...then turns out everythings like $30+ and its all posh with freaking candles and stuff ==;
so we go back and try cross the road, and Abs just runs across and trips over one of those annoying road roundabout things they put to make u slow down....then at the exact same moment all 4 lanes (or more i htink) of traffic get the greeen light and start moving -________- then me and jinghang after gonig back to the tandoori place decide to keep hunting for macdonadls......
we finally found it loooool =O

then ppl just walked back to the motelll once they finished their dinner and started playing xbox (yes we brougt one lmao)

at least we got free pizza that night!!!
